about.
Since I was little, I have always found the most joy in doing things that scratched my creative itch. From writing stories and drawing characters as a kid to making films and playing music throughout school and now I find myself completely immersed in creating 3D worlds, building interactive experiences and making creative designs. As I look to the future, it is quite clear that extended reality (VR/AR) is going to become an increasingly common form of media and entertainment, and this is the direction I see myself taking my creative skillset.
My biggest passion and interest at the moment is Gaussian Splatting; a form of high fidelity 3D capture. The use cases for this technology are massive, however as my HOTA Reconstructed project demonstrates, I want to utilise it to create immersive 3D reconstructions of real places for both entertainment and cultural purposes. I think in a rapidly developing world it is incredibly important to be able to document and view places of real significance such as heritage sites and community spaces in this scale and fidelity, not only for our entertainment and enjoyment but for future generations to come.
Along side this new passion, I also have a great deal of experience creating virtual environments and 3D assets in both real-time and render engines for use cases such as gaming, virtual production, advertising & ArchVis. I also find this work to be incredibly satisfying in scratching that creative itch as there’s nothing quite like being able to dream up anything you want and create it digitally.
Some of my other relevant industry skills include graphic design and content creation such as photography, videography, sound design & video editing.
